Over the past year or so, Google AdWords has introduced a method of serving ads to those who have already been on your site. Their service called Remarketing allows you to try and get the surfer who maybe didn’t complete a goal, back to your site to try and convert them.
The way that this service works is that some special code is added which tracks the surfers who have visited your website. The next steps are inside the actual AdWords account where a campaign needs to be created for the Display Network, and in particular Remarketing.
Here is where the real optimization tricks come into play whereas the different types of Remarketing lists will be what really take this campaign to the next level. We like to create several lists which could be for the types of visitors to your site listed below:
- All users
- All users who visited a certain page
- All users who completed a goal
- All users who started the signup process but stopped
- Any many more.
We suggest a separate adgroup for each list that you created to make bidding on the lists separately, easier. In regards to the ads shown, we suggest many different image ads with call to action comments that stand out while allowing Google to choose the best ones based on maximizing for either clicks or conversions.
If you are having any troubles with creating Remarketing lists, campaigns, or setting up adgroups then don’t waste any time and contact us today using the quick contact form on the right hand side.
